Biography
Mallory Lyon is a Graduate Intern in the Office of Student Learning at the University of Iowa. In this role, Mallory serves as a supervisor for the Peer Learning Connector (PLC) program and works with the Academic Success Workshops under the supervision of Katie Aranda. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMCH).
 
Mallory graduated from the University of Iowa in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Human Relations. During her undergraduate career, Mallory served as the Marketing and Events chair for the psychology honors society Psi Chi, volunteered with Handicare Kids Club, and worked as a Metacognition Mentor, where she helped students strengthen their learning and study strategies. She was also a Peer Leader in the course The Three M’s: Strategies for Success, an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for the class Social Psychology and a member of the student organization Box of Balloons.

Mallory is passionate about fostering inclusive, supportive environments for students and is excited to apply these foundational skills in her future career as a counselor.
