Andy O'Neill
Andy O’Neill serves as a Coordinator in the Office of Student Learning, formerly one-half of Academic Support & Retention, and has been a part of the team, no matter what the name, since August 2022. He works with the Supplemental Instruction (SI) and Peer Led Undergraduate Study (PLUS) programs. These programs are designed to support students in traditionally difficult courses by gaining a deeper understanding of the material and learning effective study strategies. He is involved in hiring, training, and supervising SI and PLUS leaders along with being the course supervisor for PLUS. Andy was a SI leader himself and provides guidance to his leaders with his experiences in the program. He also oversees the Academic Success Workshops that are offered through the Office of Student Learning, including curriculum building, facilitation, and creating partnerships with academic departments and colleges. Prior to his role in Office of Student Learning/Academic Support & Retention, he worked as a digital marketer for a year with an e-commerce company. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Informatics (HCI) and from Penn State University in 2024 with a Master of Education in Higher Education.
