Why be a Returning Learning Assistant?

  • Continue to develop your facilitation and collaboration skills
  • Provide insight and support to first semester LAs
  • Receive an $800 semester stipend
  • For applicants who are honors students, serving as a Returning Learning Assistant is an experience for which you are eligible to earn up to two (2) honors experiential learning credits.

The Job

  • Facilitate in your assigned course each week
  • Attend a once-a-week, 50-minute prep meeting with assigned faculty
  • Attend a monthly, 30-minute one-on-one with a member of the Office Student Learning
  • Assist with recruitment activities
  • Time commitment of 4-6 hours per week
